The HJC i71 Zest MC3H helmet combines a lightweight advanced polycarbonate composite shell with a design focused on fit, comfort, airflow, and everyday usability. A repositioned top vent and expanded mouth vents support enhanced intake and ventilation dynamics, while the shell design helps maintain aerodynamic efficiency during rides.

The face shield uses an enhanced Push/Eject locking mechanism for secure operation without compromising usability, including when wearing gloves. The shield lock features a push-and-release system, and the smoke-tinted sun visor includes an anti-fog coating for clear viewing. Its three-position adjustment allows the visor to move up to 10 mm forward, while the multi-step mechanism can position it up to 10 mm closer to the face for personalized shading and comfort.

An anti-bacterial fabric interior provides moisture-wicking and quick-drying performance. The crown and cheek pads are removable and washable, supporting convenient interior care. The helmet is also designed to integrate with second-generation Smart HJC Bluetooth systems, sold separately. Smart HJC 2nd Generation uses an all-in-one design co-developed with SENA for HJC helmets, with integration intended to preserve balanced weight distribution and aerodynamic efficiency.
