The ALPINESTARS TECH-AIR Tech-Air 5 Plasma Airbag System is engineered to fit comfortably beneath a jacket with an ultra-slim, lightweight profile. Its discreet design creates an “invisible under the jacket” feel while supporting freedom of movement and everyday wearability. The full-stretch construction features moisture-wicking treatment for improved comfort and breathability.

Designed for comprehensive upper-body coverage, the system protects the chest, ribs, back, and shoulders. An integrated Nucleon Plasma back protector provides a lightweight, flexible impact-absorbing layer with ventilation and adaptive performance. The ultra-thin, mono-layer stretch mesh chassis contours to the airbag shape to minimize bulk while maintaining an adaptive fit across the collar, underarms, and front of the body.

The Tech-Air 5 Plasma uses a dedicated algorithm with three riding modes: Street, Off-Road, and Race. After the system is switched on, the mode can be changed by pressing the system button for two seconds, with a solid green LED indicating the selected mode. A single-canister design supports faster inflation, reduced weight, and simplified servicing, while the gas canister is replaceable by the user.

A quick-release cover attaches to the chassis with a hook-and-loop patch and provides access to the gas inflator. The LED button can also be pressed to check system status, with a vibration indicating that the system is functioning correctly.
