The Alpinestars Tech-Air 3 is a lightweight, autonomous airbag system designed for touring riders, urban commuters and light off-road adventure riding. It can be worn over or under a motorcycle jacket, including compatible Alpinestars jackets as well as leather or textile jackets with sufficient room for airbag inflation.

Using the Tech-Air 5 Street crash detection algorithm, the Tech-Air 3 employs artificial intelligence to monitor riding conditions and determine when airbag deployment is needed. Six integrated sensors—three accelerometers and three gyroscopes—support crash monitoring across dynamic street riding situations, including when the motorcycle is stopped. The system can deploy in milliseconds when it detects the start of a crash, including lowside and highside events.

Once inflated, the airbag provides full upper-body coverage across the rider’s full chest and back. An integrated back protector pocket can accommodate additional passive back protection. The front LED display shows operational status and includes a haptic alert that confirms the system is armed and warns the rider when battery power is low.

Bluetooth connectivity with the Tech-Air App allows riders to monitor system operation and battery status, while the MyRide feature provides a detailed map of the ride. The Alpinestars Tech-Air 3 is finished in black and offered here in XS, part number 6508322-10A-XS.
