The Alpinestars Supertech R7 Helmet combines a lightweight carbon composite shell with advanced aerodynamic and ventilation technologies for track and road riding. Its multi-composite construction uses carbon, aramid fiber, and fiberglass layers with pre-preg epoxy resin to provide strength, energy dissipation, radial strength, and penetration resistance.

The streamlined shell incorporates collarbone recesses with PLASMA inserts designed for high-performance shock absorption and reduced injury risk during a slide. An integrated spoiler and lateral winglets help minimize turbulence and drag while improving high-speed stability. The helmet also provides a 220-degree peripheral field of vision and a 57-degree vertical field of vision through its optimized eye port and head position.

Inside, a multi-density EPS liner uses seven pieces in six densities, strategically positioned for impact absorption and matched to the helmet’s outer shell size. The EPS surface includes Alpinestars’ low-friction coating, designed to mimic the brain’s natural cerebrospinal fluid and help reduce rotational acceleration during oblique impacts.

Airflow is managed through 10 ventilation ports, including six intake ports and four exhaust ports. Chin-guard airflow is directed toward the inner side of the shield to help prevent fogging and misting, while the slidable top vent reveals three air channels for increased cooling. The optical Class 1 shield is ECE 22.06 homologated and features double-sided anti-scratch treatment.
