The Alpinestars Supertech R7 Helmet combines a lightweight carbon composite construction with aerodynamic performance and advanced impact protection for track and road riding. Its multi-composite outer shell uses carbon, aramid fiber, and fiberglass layers with pre-preg epoxy resin to deliver strength, energy dissipation, radial strength, and penetration resistance.

The streamlined shell incorporates collarbone recesses with PLASMA inserts designed for high-performance shock absorption and reduced injury risk during a slide. The helmet provides 220° peripheral vision and 57° vertical vision through an optimized eye port and rider head position. Its multi-density EPS liner uses seven pieces in six densities, positioned for impact absorption and matched to the helmet’s shell sizing.

Alpinestars’ low-friction coating on the EPS surface is designed to mimic the brain’s natural cerebrospinal fluid and reduce rotational acceleration during oblique impacts. Aerodynamic features include an integrated spoiler and lateral winglets that help minimize turbulence and drag while supporting high-speed stability and reducing neck strain.

Airflow is managed through 10 ventilation ports, including six intake ports and four exhaust ports. Chin vents direct air toward the inner shield surface to help prevent fogging and misting, while the sliding top vent opens three air channels for increased cooling. The helmet includes an ECE 22.06 homologated optical Class 1 shield with double-sided anti-scratch treatment and variable thickness from 1.6 inches at the sides to 2.6 inches at the center.
