The Alpinestars Supertech R7 Helmet combines a lightweight multi-composite outer shell with performance-focused protection and comfort for track and road riding. Its carbon, aramid fiber, and fiberglass construction uses pre-preg epoxy resin to deliver strength, energy dissipation, radial strength, and penetration resistance.

A multi-density EPS liner uses seven pieces in six densities, strategically positioned for impact absorption and matched to the helmet’s shell structure. The EPS surface incorporates Alpinestars’ low-friction coating, designed to help reduce rotational acceleration during oblique impacts. Collarbone recesses feature PLASMA inserts for shock absorption during a slide.

The aerodynamic shell integrates a spoiler and lateral winglets to minimize turbulence, reduce drag, and improve high-speed stability. Ten ventilation ports include six intakes and four exhausts, with airflow directed toward the inside of the shield to help prevent fogging and misting. A slidable top vent exposes three air channels for increased airflow and cooling.

For visibility, the S-R7 features an optimized eye port with 220° peripheral vision and 57° vertical vision. The ECE 22.06 homologated optical Class 1 shield includes double-sided anti-scratch treatment and varies in thickness from 1.6 inches at the sides to 2.6 inches at the center.
