The Alpinestars SMX Air Jacket combines a sport fit with airflow-focused construction for riding comfort in warm conditions. Its removable windbreaker lets you quickly adapt the jacket to changing weather, while the elongated rear provides added coverage and wind protection in the riding position.

Multi-panel 450D polyfabric construction delivers strength, comfort, and abrasion resistance. Laser-perforated chest panels and 2D mesh stretch inserts across the front, sleeves, and back promote airflow and ventilation. Extensive stretch panels at the torso sides and upper back support an adaptive fit and improved shoulder mobility, particularly in a racing crouch.

Strategically positioned accordion stretch panels accommodate an Alpinestars airbag system, allowing expansion when the airbag inflates while maintaining an anatomical fit when the system is not installed. Pre-curved elbows help reduce rider fatigue, and waist adjusters allow performance-oriented fit adjustment.

A soft-touch synthetic suede collar and cuffs enhance comfort, while interior and exterior pockets provide practical storage. The jacket is Tech-Air® 7x, Tech-Air® 5 PLASMA, and Tech-Air® 3 ready.
